01What We Collect
We collect the contact details you choose to give us — such as your name, email, and phone number — when you submit a showing request, request a home evaluation, or sign up for a client portal account. If you use the portal, we also store the saved search criteria and listing alerts you set up, and we record your saved-search activity — such as which listings you open and when, and whether our emails to you are opened and their links clicked — so your alerts and follow-ups reflect what’s actually useful. We may also see general email engagement (for example, whether a message was opened) and hosting-level analytics about how the Site is used.
02Why We Collect It
We use this information to respond to your questions, arrange showings, prepare home evaluations, and run the features you sign up for — including portal listing alerts and saved-criteria matches. If you opt in, we also use your email to send monthly market-update emails. We do not use your information for anything beyond serving you as a client or prospective client.
03Email & CASL
Any marketing email we send, including monthly market updates, follows Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): we send them only with your consent, we identify ourselves clearly, and every campaign includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we will stop sending that email accordingly.
04Your PIPEDA Rights
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, reach out through our contact page and we’ll respond promptly.
05Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the Site and serve you — for example, our website hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and our database provider — and only to the extent those providers need it to do that job. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
06Cookies & Analytics
This Site uses hosting-level analytics to understand overall traffic and performance — things like which pages are visited and how quickly the Site loads — not to build advertising profiles. We do not use third-party ad trackers, and we do not sell data to advertisers.
07How Long We Keep It
We keep your personal information for as long as needed to serve you — for example, while you have an active portal account or an open request — and then delete it on request. If you would like your information removed sooner, contact us and we will take care of it.
